Travel Certificates
Planning a trip with your pet? Whether you're flying domestically or internationally, most airlines and destinations require a valid Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI), also known as a Health Certificate. We're here to help you and your pet travel safely and in compliance with all requirements.
Domestic Travel
For travel within the U.S., most airlines require a health certificate issued within 10 days of departure. This document confirms your pet is healthy, current on required vaccinations, and fit for travel. Please make sure to obtain specific instructions from your airline or travel agency!
International Travel
International travel requirements vary by country and often involve:
Specific vaccines (such as rabies)
Blood tests
Microchip identification
Quarantine regulations
USDA endorsement of documents
Some destinations may require months of preparation. Because of this, we ask that you:
Contact us before booking your appointment for an international health certificate.
We’ll confirm:
Whether we can support the requirements for your destination
If there’s enough time to meet all necessary timelines
What to Expect
When you reach out, we’ll:
Review your destination
Schedule a physical exam (required for all certificates)
Guide you through paperwork, testing, and timelines
Help you obtain USDA endorsement if needed
Important Notes
We do not issue travel certificates without an exam
It is the pet owner’s responsibility to know the specific import requirements of the destination country
Last-minute travel requests may not be accommodated, especially for international destinations
